Materials Manager – Manufacturing | Newton, IA | Onsite

An established manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products is seeking a hands-on Materials Manager to lead all aspects of material flow — from inbound supply through in-plant movement to outbound finished goods.

This is a highly visible leadership role managing a team of up to 10 across scheduling, planning, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. You’ll work onsite in a medium-volume, custom manufacturing environment, with modern systems in place (SAP) and an immediate need for a strong floor presence and team leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day and strategic materials operations

• Oversee inbound supply, internal logistics, and outbound shipments

• Supervise and develop team members in planning, inventory, shipping/receiving

• Drive collaboration with production, scheduling, and leadership teams

• Ensure timely material availability to support on-time delivery

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years in a manufacturing environment (metal products a plus)

• 3+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role

• Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)

• Comfortable working on the floor in a highly customized production setting

• A blend of tactical execution and strategic thinking
