Pipe Shop Superintendent

Our manufacturing client is scaling rapidly after securing a major data center project and is seeking a Pipe Shop Superintendent to lead and stabilize their pipe fabrication operations.

This is a high-impact, shop-based leadership role (not field-based) with responsibility across the full lifecycle of fabrication—from drawing review through production, staging, and delivery—ensuring all product is install-ready for field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a 30+ person pipe fabrication shop
• Oversee production flow from engineering/drawings → fabrication → staging/kitting → shipment
• Ensure all assemblies are buildable, efficient, and install-ready
• Drive safety, quality, and production performance in a fast-paced environment
• Partner with engineering, project management, and scheduling
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, throughput optimization)
• Help scale operations to support significant growth

Qualifications:

• Strong background in pipe fabrication (spools, isometrics, fit-up, welding)
• Proven shop leadership experience (Foreman, Superintendent, or Manager level)
• Experience leading large teams in a production environment
• Ability to review drawings and identify manufacturability issues
• Hands-on leadership style with accountability for results
• Experience with Lean / process improvement preferred
