Our client is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Attorney to join its legal team handling civil collection and litigation matters. This role is a strong fit for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently, negotiating resolutions, and appearing in court as needed throughout an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate settlements and work toward resolution of active litigation matters.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients at hearings and trials throughout the assigned region.
- Work closely with internal staff, opposing counsel, and other parties to move cases toward timely and appropriate resolution.
- Evaluate case details and determine effective strategies for settlement and litigation.
- Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and priorities across an active caseload.
- Travel within the assigned territory for court appearances as necessary, with mileage and eligible travel expenses reimbursed.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
- Familiarity with civil litigation, courtroom procedures, and applicable legal processes.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate cases and pursue effective resolutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and case management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities.
- Comfortable working independently while maintaining professional communication with clients, courts, counsel, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and work effectively within technology-based systems.
