Technical Recruiter
Aspire Talent Solutions continues to experience tremendous year over year growth, and we are ecstatic to announce we’re on the hunt for a rockstar Recruiter who knows that great candidates do not always come knocking—and is willing to go find them.
This is not an internal corporate recruiting role, and it is definitely not a “post it and pray” position. We partner with companies nationwide to fill specialized, often hard-to-find roles. Your primary focus will be digging into LinkedIn, Indeed, SeekOut, our ATS, resume databases, our network, and just about every other corner of the internet and country to identify qualified candidates for our recruiters to interview.
Most of your time will be spent sourcing, researching, and building strong candidate pipelines. You will also step in to conduct candidate interviews and qualification calls as needed. In other words, we need someone who can find the needle in the haystack—and confidently talk to the needle once they do.
Experience within CNC machine tools, industrial equipment, engineering, or manufacturing would be a major plus. If you do not know a single thing about machining, that is okay. We are willing to train the right person who is curious, persistent, coachable, and not afraid to learn a highly specialized industry.
While this is a remote job, our team is based out of Cincinnati, OH and we need someone to be local. Yes, you’ll work from wherever you want the majority of the time, but our team actually enjoys getting together so we need this person to be local with us.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partner with our recruiting team to understand each client, position, must-have qualification, and ideal candidate profile.
- Hunt down qualified passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, AI sourcing tools, ATS databases, Google, professional networks, and other sourcing channels.
- Build Boolean searches that produce actual qualified candidates—not 400 people who happen to have the word “CNC” somewhere on their profiles.
- Review resumes and online profiles to determine whether candidates genuinely align with the position.
- Develop talent pipelines for current openings and future hiring needs.
- Step in to conduct candidate interviews and qualification calls when needed.
- Provide thorough notes and a clear explanation of why each candidate may be a fit.
- Keep candidate records, communication history, sourcing activity, and interview notes accurate and current within the ATS.
- Track outreach, responses, submissions, recruiter feedback, and pipeline progress.
- Adjust searches based on feedback without taking it personally when the target moves a little.
- Research target companies, competitors, related industries, and transferable candidate backgrounds.
- Communicate openly with the recruiting team about progress, roadblocks, market feedback, and anything else we should know.
- Treat every candidate like a human being—even when they disappear halfway through the process. Yes, it happens to recruiters, too.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience with a staffing agency, recruiting firm, or executive search firm is strongly preferred.
- A clear understanding that agency recruiting means supporting multiple clients, positions, industries, and priorities at the same time all the time.
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, candidate databases, and sourcing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, AI sourcing tools, professional networks, and online sourcing channels.
- The ability to build, test, and refine Boolean searches.
- Experience evaluating resumes and profiles against specific—and usually very specific—client requirements.
- The confidence to conduct candidate screenings and interviews when needed.
- Strong research skills and the creativity to look beyond the most obvious search results.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- The ability to manage several searches without letting candidates—or important details—fall through the cracks.
- The ability to accept feedback, change direction, and keep digging when a search gets difficult.
- A self-motivated, persistent, and curious personality.
- A genuine willingness to learn new roles, industries, terminology, and technology.
- A healthy appreciation for the thrill of finally finding the one after reviewing far too many profiles.
- Live within commutable distance to Cincinnati, OH (I get it- you can live and work anywhere, but our team actually enjoys getting together so local candidates only, please!)
Extra Points If You Have
- Experience sourcing or recruiting within manufacturing, CNC machining, machine tools, industrial equipment, engineering, skilled trades, technical service, or industrial sales.
- Familiarity with roles such as CNC machinists, programmers, applications engineers, field service technicians, mechanical or electrical engineers, sales professionals, and manufacturing leaders.
- Experience finding passive candidates in highly specialized talent markets.
- An understanding of machine-tool builders, distributors, manufacturers, and job shops.
What Success Looks Like
Success is not measured by how many names you can dump into the ATS. It is measured by how consistently you identify candidates who actually match what our clients need.
The right person will learn from feedback, sharpen their searches, keep immaculate notes, build dependable candidate pipelines, and become increasingly knowledgeable about the industries we serve. While sourcing will remain your primary responsibility, you will also be ready to jump into candidate interviews, ask the right questions, and help our recruiters determine who should move forward.
If you are naturally curious, ridiculously resourceful, and believe there is no such thing as an “impossible-to-find” candidate—just a search you have not cracked yet—we should talk.
And if you’re not a fan puns, wit, or exclamation points… this opportunity won’t be for you.
