What You'll Do

  • Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, ensuring optimal image acquisition and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide compassionate care throughout the exam.
  • Review prior imaging studies and reports before each examination to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
  • Assess image quality and recognize relevant findings to assist the interpreting Radiologist.
  • Present images and preliminary observations to the Radiologist and healthcare team.
  • Collaborate closely with Mammographers and Radiologists to obtain all necessary diagnostic information.
  • Accurately document examinations and maintain complete patient records within the electronic medical record.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring examination rooms meet cleanliness and infection-control standards.
  • Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging software efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, professionalism, and quality care.

What We're Looking For

  • ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Advanced Breast Registry (AB) through ARDMS or Breast Sonography certification through ARRT, or eligibility to obtain certification within six months of hire.
  • Minimum of two years of dedicated breast ultrasound experience.
  • Strong understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging information systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
