About our client
Our client is an employee-owned architecture and engineering firm. Their architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and building systems engineers work in the same firm and on the same project teams. Their work covers higher education, K-12, life sciences, technology, government, and workplace projects. They are adding a mid-level electrical engineer to their engineering group.
The role
The Electrical Engineer handles the electrical design on labs, schools and universities, and commercial and institutional buildings, from early design through construction.
The position can be based in the firm's Cambridge, MA, Providence, RI, or Manchester, NH office, with a hybrid schedule.
What you would be doing
- Designing power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for buildings
- Producing construction documents and running the supporting calculations
- Coordinating with the architects and other engineers on the project team
- Working with utilities and contractors
- Supporting projects through construction administration
What we are looking for
- Degree in electrical engineering
- 5 or more years of building electrical design experience
- PE preferred, not required
- Knowledge of building and electrical codes
- Experience with Revit
