Opportunity
Imagine leading the charge on next-generation embedded electronics that protect and serve communities every day. This Tech Lead Electrical Engineer role in Smithtown, New York, puts you at the center of product innovation for lifesaving emergency response vehicles. Your designs will directly impact first responders in the field.
You will own the full development lifecycle—from concept and architecture through PCB layout, testing, and production hand-off. Your day-to-day work includes hardware design for vehicle lighting, sensors, and control modules, all while ensuring compliance with stringent performance and regulatory standards. Every decision you make contributes to building rugged, reliable products that operate when it matters most.
We are looking for a hands-on engineer with deep microcontroller expertise, proven leadership skills, and a track record of bringing embedded products to market. You thrive in cross-functional environments, enjoy mentoring junior engineers, and have the communication skills to align diverse teams. If you have experience with Altium, EMC/EMI design, and a passion for developing field-ready hardware, you will fit right in.
This is a direct-hire position with a salary of $140,000–$155,000, an 8% bonus plan, and the chance to work on greenfield products from day one. The company values stability and growth, giving you the platform to build a career with real impact.
