Your daily work will span the full lifecycle of complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in underwater sensing and communications. You will design custom analog and digital PCBs, integrate embedded processors, and troubleshoot assemblies in the lab—all while learning from senior engineers who welcome curiosity and fresh ideas. You will also travel occasionally to support field exercises, seeing your designs perform in operational settings. The technology stack is broad: analog sensors, ADCs, microcontrollers, power amplifiers, digital protocols, and more, offering an incredibly rich learning landscape.

We are looking for a self-starter with a solid foundation in electrical engineering and a genuine passion for building and debugging real hardware. A Bachelor's degree with a microelectronics focus is required, but no professional experience is necessary if you have completed meaningful internships and can demonstrate hands-on PCB design and lab skills. Non-Negotiables

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in microelectronics is required
  • You must have U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Proficiency with electronic laboratory test equipment, including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and probing tools, is essential
  • Proven experience designing custom PCBs from conception to implementation is mandatory
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting printed circuit boards and electronics assemblies, including cables, sensors, grounding, and noise, is expected
  • You must be able to grasp, organize, and communicate complex electrical concepts and interface with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience designing with analog sensors, ADCs, and embedded processors is required

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and sustain complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems
  • Design, procure, and test custom analog and digital printed circuit boards
  • Support the development and production of underwater maritime electrical and electromechanical systems
  • Travel to support on-site exercises as needed
  • Perform debugging and testing of electronics assemblies in a lab environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems
  • Participate in the entire product lifecycle from concept through sustainment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a microelectronics concentration is preferred
  • One to three years of professional experience designing electronics is a plus
  • Experience with Altium for schematic capture is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with LTSPICE for circuit simulations will set you apart
  • Coding skills in C, C++, or Python for microcontrollers are beneficial
  • Experience using National Instruments or similar data acquisition systems and LabView is a bonus
  • Hands-on skills with electronics assembly, wiring, crimping, or soldering are a plus
