Non-Negotiables
- You must hold a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in microelectronics, along with 8 or more years of experience for BSEE, 5 or more for MSEE, or 4 or more for a PhD
- Extensive experience designing complex, multi-layer, high-density PCBs is essential for this position
- You need demonstrated expertise in analog sensors, ADCs, and embedded processors for mixed-signal circuit design
- A strong understanding of digital signal processing techniques and low-noise electronics design is required
- Proficiency with electronic laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital multimeters, is a must
- You must have experience troubleshooting printed circuit boards and electronics assemblies, including cables, sensors, grounding, and noise issues
- U.S. citizenship is a non-negotiable requirement due to the nature of the work

Responsibilities
- You will design, integrate, troubleshoot, produce, and sustain complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems for underwater applications
- You will be responsible for the design, procurement, and testing of custom analog and digital PCBs tailored to prototype R&D systems
- Travel to support field exercises will be part of your role, providing hands-on exposure to real-world maritime environments
- You will provide project leadership and technical communication, ensuring alignment across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff in electronics design and PCB implementation will be a key responsibility
- You will collaborate closely with embedded software engineers and scientists to solve complex technical challenges
- Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of next-generation sensing and communication technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in microelectronics is highly preferred
- Prior experience designing electronics for underwater maritime systems will set you apart
- Experience creating technical content for new products, ideas, or business development pursuits is a strong advantage
- You are likely coming from an R&D environment where you worked in small multidisciplinary teams
- Experience mentoring junior EE staff on electronics design, PCB implementation, and board troubleshooting is valued
- The ability to brief customers and present technical concepts clearly is desirable
- Experience with C/C++ coding for microcontrollers or similar languages like Python will be beneficial
