Non-Negotiables

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required for this position
  • You must have 2–5 years of professional experience supporting program or project management in a technical or R&D environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to document and report findings clearly
  • Exceptional organizational skills, note-taking ability, and follow-up on actions are mandatory
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and government contracting is necessary
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint is required
  • You must have experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist the program manager with managing the full lifecycle of technical programs, including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and risk
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor program schedules, budgets, and resource tracking tools to keep the project on track
  • Track program deliverables and ensure timely submission in accordance with contract requirements
  • Maintain and improve programmatic processes and tools, such as documentation templates and tracking mechanisms
  • Support proposal development by contributing to technical approach, planning, and cost estimation efforts
  • Coordinate the preparation of presentation materials and briefing packages for customer meetings and key engineering events
  • Manage and distribute meeting minutes and action items to internal and external stakeholders, and follow up to ensure timely closure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in technical programs is highly regarded
  • Experience supporting or managing DoD or acquisition programs will set you apart
  • DAWIA Certification is a plus
  • PMP or equivalent program management certification is preferred
  • Experience in technical writing, system documentation, and supporting new business proposals or bids is valued
  • Familiarity with engineering development lifecycles and documentation standards is beneficial
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and balance shifting priorities is a strong fit
