Every day, you’ll translate complex signal processing requirements into elegant hardware solutions. Non-Negotiables

  • You must have at least four years of experience with FPGA development, VHDL programming, and associated workflows
  • You must have at least four years of experience with C programming for microcontroller and/or digital signal processor development and testing
  • You must have at least four years of experience with C++ programming and compilation in a Linux environment
  • You must possess a basic understanding of signal processing and Matlab data analysis
  • You must hold a BS in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering
  • You must be a U.S. citizen, as this position requires eligibility for a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • You will design and develop complex data handling infrastructure on embedded systems, implementing advanced signal processing algorithms to power underwater technology
  • You will lead laboratory testing and integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between embedded systems and larger electronic platforms
  • You will conduct field testing of maritime systems, validating performance in real-world underwater environments
  • You will take ownership of project leadership, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet key milestones
  • You will develop and maintain state machines and algorithms on prototype R&D embedded systems
  • You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate FPGAs, SoCs, DSPs, and microcontrollers into mission-critical systems
  • You will document design processes and test results to support future replication and improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in design and development of systems for underwater acoustic sensors is preferred
  • Familiarity with System-on-Chip or System-on-Module workflows is highly valued
  • Experience creating technical content for new products or business development pursuits is a plus
  • Experience with userspace driver development in Linux is beneficial
  • Experience working with ADCs/DACs and associated clocking and digital interfacing is desirable
  • Familiarity with digital communication schemes such as RS232/422/485, I2C, I2S, SPI, McBSP, and CAN is preferred
  • Experience with high-speed digital signaling (LVDS, LVPECL) and the Xilinx IDE/Vivado is advantageous
