Opportunity

Imagine a role where your engineering designs directly reduce scrap, boost quality, and increase throughput on the plant floor, all while being recognized as the technical expert who will one day lead the engineering team. That is exactly what this Project / Manufacturing Engineer opportunity in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, offers. You will own capital projects from concept to commissioning, working with cutting-edge injection molding and die casting equipment that produces millions of automotive components each year. The confidential employer is a stable, well-established manufacturer with a proven record of promoting from within, making this a career launchpad for the right engineer.

Day to day, you will investigate bottlenecks, design and install new machinery, and train operators to sustain improvements. Your role is critical because every minute of downtime or every defective part directly impacts the bottom line and customer satisfaction. By developing robust process FMEAs, control plans, and APQP documentation, you ensure that new product launches hit quality targets and that existing lines run smoothly. Your work supports a high-volume automotive aftermarket operation that supplies essential components to major vehicle brands, meaning your success contributes to safer, more reliable vehicles on the road.

The engineer who thrives here brings a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least five years of hands-on plant experience in automotive parts manufacturing. You have a track record of managing capital projects, drafting CAD modifications, and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You are as comfortable at a whiteboard explaining a process change to a vice president as you are crawling under a machine to diagnose a clamp issue. Most importantly, you understand that great engineering is not just about design—it’s about building the systems and documentation that turn a good plant into a world-class operation.

This is not a desk job. It is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will see the results of your work every day on the shop floor. With a generous base salary, a 15% bonus, and a personal development plan that targets engineering management, this is a rare opening for an ambitious manufacturing engineer ready to make a mark. If you have the automotive injection molding and die casting experience we need, take the first step today and apply to learn more about this confidential opportunity in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
