Opportunity

Imagine applying your deep software expertise to technology that directly safeguards national security. This confidential employer is a recognized leader in defense, and they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of mission-critical systems that train warfighters and power advanced simulations. The work is complex, the stakes are high, and the environment is one where your technical vision will shape products for years to come.

Your daily immersion will span the full software lifecycle—from architectural decisions to integration testing. You'll refactor legacy codebases, introduce modern frameworks, and ensure that every thread of execution is robust under real-time constraints. The systems you build operate in scenarios where failure is not an option, which means your commitment to quality, reliability, and performance will directly contribute to mission success.

The ideal person for this role is a seasoned engineer who is as comfortable mentoring junior talent as they are debating design patterns at a whiteboard. You have an active Secret clearance and a history of delivering complex software on schedule. You communicate clearly, enjoy cross-disciplinary collaboration, and are energized by the challenge of improving established systems. If you are proud of shipping code that truly matters, you will excel here.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity in Binghamton, New York, with relocation support to ensure a smooth transition. You will be compensated generously, work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, and see your contributions make a tangible difference. If you are ready to lead, mentor, and deliver software at the highest level, we encourage you to apply today. Take the next step in a career that combines technical mastery with meaningful purpose.
