This is not an ordinary engineering leadership post. You will sit at the nexus of cutting-edge defense technology and business strategy, reporting directly to the division head. The organization designs and delivers surveillance systems that protect soldiers and secure borders, and it needs a technical visionary who can keep its antenna technology ahead of the threat curve.

Your core mission is to build and execute a multi-year technology roadmap for advanced antennas and radar systems. You will collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize R&D investments, guide the design of next-generation sensor products, and oversee their lifecycle from concept to field deployment. Every decision you make will enhance mission effectiveness and strengthen national defense.

We are looking for a proven leader with 20+ years in radar and antenna systems, a deep network across the defense community, and the ability to translate complex technology into winning business strategies. You hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field, an active Top Secret clearance, and the communication skills to inspire engineering teams and influence executive stakeholders. You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and are not afraid to travel up to 50% to support critical programs.

Non-Negotiables

You must hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field
You bring 20+ years of progressive technology leadership with a proven record of success in leading large-scale radar design efforts
You possess advanced subject matter expertise in radar technologies across all sensor applications
You have the ability to contribute to development strategy and lead strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives
You have executive-level communication and presentation experience to interface with senior leaders and customers
You are a U.S. citizen with an active Department of Defense Top Secret-level clearance
You are willing to travel up to 50% of the time to support program and business development efforts

Responsibilities

You will develop and execute a vision and strategy to advance the organization’s antenna technology development across the U.S. business
You will collaborate with senior leadership to define technological priorities and investment strategies
You will support the design, development, and deployment of innovative radar technologies and key pursuits
You will develop complex radar and antenna product applications and drive lifecycle product management throughout the organization
You will partner with engineering leadership to drive the division’s R&D efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives
You will maintain a strong executive-level network, reputation, and customer access across the radar market
You will establish and maintain the technical thought leadership of the company in the relevant market community and stakeholder base
