Non-Negotiables

  • You must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher
  • You need at least three years of hands-on experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, structural design, material modeling, or shock analysis and testing
  • Candidates should possess a strong background in analytical and numerical modeling techniques
  • You must have experience using finite element analysis codes such as ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA
  • Expertise in explicit and implicit solution methods is required
  • A solid understanding of linear and nonlinear structural analysis techniques is essential

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering is preferred
  • Experience with material constitutive, equations of state, and failure models is highly valued
  • Familiarity with dynamic events and material responses under shock loading is a plus
  • Candidates with a background in both metallic and composite structures design are encouraged to apply
  • Existing active Secret clearance or higher would be a distinct advantage
