Non-Negotiables
- You must hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in microelectronics, though no professional experience is required if you have relevant internships
- You have proven experience designing custom PCBs from conception to implementation, including schematic capture and layout
- You possess proficiency with electronic laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and function generators
- You have experience troubleshooting printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies, including cables, sensors, grounding, and noise
- You can demonstrate basic proficiency interfacing with Linux-based systems and basic competence with MATLAB data analysis
- You are a U.S. citizen, as this position requires citizenship due to the nature of the work
- You have an affinity for working on a team and the ability to grasp, organize, and communicate complex electrical and organizational concepts

Responsibilities
- Design and test custom analog and digital printed circuit boards, from conception through procurement and implementation
- Integrate and troubleshoot complex electrical and electromechanical systems for underwater maritime applications
- Support production and sustainment activities to ensure ongoing system reliability and performance
- Work with embedded microprocessors, microcontrollers, and digital communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and RS232/422
- Utilize electronic laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and function generators to validate designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to communicate complex concepts and drive project success
- Travel to support field exercises and real-world system validation as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- An M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in microelectronics is strongly preferred
- One to three years of professional experience designing electronics beyond internships would give you a head start
- Experience with Altium for schematic capture and LTSPICE for circuit simulations will make you highly effective
- Coding skills in C/C++ for microcontrollers, or similar languages like Python, are a plus
- Familiarity with National Instruments data acquisition systems and LabView will set you apart
- Hands-on experience with electronics assembly, wiring, crimping, or soldering is highly desirable
- Any exposure to signal processing or communications systems would be a bonus
