Opportunity

Imagine your circuit designs surviving extreme vibration, temperature swings, and electromagnetic interference—then seeing them deployed in advanced aerospace platforms. A confidential employer with a reputation for growth and innovation is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who thrives on that level of challenge. The company’s broad product line and diverse customer base mean your work will stay varied and directly tied to national defense priorities. You will join a collaborative team that values deep expertise and gives you the freedom to own your designs from day one.

In this role, you will take ownership of the full product lifecycle—from defining requirements and architecture through qualification, production, and field sustainment. You will design analog and digital circuits for harsh environments, perform rigorous analyses (thermal, stress, EMI, radiation), and present your findings at technical reviews. Your work will involve close collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers to troubleshoot legacy systems and optimize new designs. Every day, you will balance performance, cost, and schedule to deliver hardware that meets stringent military standards.

The engineer who succeeds here brings more than a resume of tools. We need someone who can lay out a high-voltage board that passes MIL-STD-461 on the first try, discuss the tradeoffs between SiC and GaN for a DC/DC converter, and mentor junior engineers on best practices. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is your foundation, with seven-plus years of relevant experience in power electronics, analog/digital design, and communication protocols. If you also bring motor control expertise and a Master’s degree, you will find even more ways to make an impact.

This position offers a salary between $140,000 and $180,000, comprehensive benefits, and the kind of technical environment that keeps leading engineers engaged. Relocation assistance is negotiable, and while the team works onsite five days a week, outstanding candidates may earn some flexibility. If you are ready to move beyond routine design work and want your hardware decisions to matter at a systems level, we want to hear from you. Apply today to start a confidential conversation.

Non-Negotiables

  • You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s is preferred
  • You must have at least seven years of professional experience in analog and digital circuit design, including A/D conversion, processors, microcontrollers, I/O, and communications
  • You must possess deep expertise in power electronics with MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN devices
  • You must have proven experience with DC/DC converters and a strong working knowledge of MIL-STD-1275/704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461 compliance
  • You must be skilled in performing thermal, electrical stress, worst-case, tolerance, aging, FMEA, EMI, and radiation (SEU, TID) analyses
  • You must be proficient with multiple communication protocols: CAN, RS-232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI/PCIe, and 1G/10G Ethernet
  • You must be able to work onsite in Ronkonkoma, New York, on a daily basis, and you must not require sponsorship
