We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Bermuda. This is a full-time opportunity requiring relocation to the island.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, with the ability to work independently across workshop and field-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair heavy-duty diesel vehicles, including trucks, buses and construction equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission and braking system faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, equipment inspections and general mechanical repairs.
• Provide roadside assistance and emergency breakdown repairs when required.
• Maintain accurate service records, identify replacement parts and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years' experience repairing heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Recognised Diesel Mechanic certification and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical and braking systems.
• Proficient in fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to obtain the relevant Bermuda Public Service Vehicle Licence.
• Willingness to relocate to Bermuda and provide emergency breakdown support.
