CAD Programmer / Field Templator

COMPANY OVERVIEW
YK Stone Center is a custom countertop fabrication and installation company specializing in natural stone and quartz
surfaces for residential and commercial projects throughout the Denver metro area.
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a CAD Programmer / Field Templator
with long-term growth opportunity within the company.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role combines:
• Field templating and measuring
• CAD programming
• Slab layout planning
• Coordination with fabrication and installation teams

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Templating
• Visit residential and commercial job sites
• Digitally template countertops using laser templating equipment
• Verify dimensions, cabinetry readiness, and installation conditions
• Communicate jobsite conditions and potential issues clearly

CAD Programming
• Create and edit countertop shop drawings and CAD files
• Program jobs for fabrication equipment
• Review dimensions, seams, overhangs, edge details, and sink/appliance locations

Slab Layout & Production Coordination
• Create slab layouts to optimize material usage and visual flow
• Coordinate layouts with customers, sales staff, and fabrication team
• Assist in scheduling and production workflow coordination

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Minimum 2 years of countertop templating experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Proliner or laser templating systems
• Minimum 2 years of countertop CAD programming experience
• Experience reading plans and field conditions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience with countertop templating software
• Experience with slab layout optimization
• Experience in countertop fabrication workflow
• Experience coordinating with fabrication and installation teams

Strongly Preferred:
• AlphaCAM experience
• Natural stone and quartz fabrication industry background

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Starting pay: approximately $27/hour, depending on experience
• Opportunity for advancement and increased compensation
• Performance review after 90 days
