Vice President of Sales

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead and scale the organization’s revenue growth initiatives. This executive will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, building and leading high-performing teams, and driving predictable, sustainable revenue growth.

The VP of Sales will serve as a key member of the leadership team and will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to align sales execution with overall business objectives.

This role requires a leader who can balance strategy and execution — someone capable of designing the long-term revenue engine while also driving near-term performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a multi-year sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives

  • Identify new market opportunities, verticals, and revenue streams

  • Establish sales forecasts, KPIs, and performance metrics

  • Build scalable processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Own overall revenue target and pipeline health

  • Drive predictable forecasting and accountability across the sales organization

  • Analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities

  • Optimize pricing, deal structure, and sales cycle efficiency

Team Development & Culture

  • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team

  • Recruit and develop top sales talent

  • Establish a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance excellence

  • Implement training and professional development initiatives

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic accounts

  • Strengthen relationships with enterprise clients and partners

  • Represent the company at industry events and executive-level meetings

  • Gather voice-of-customer insights to inform product and go-to-market strategy

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to align demand generation and sales enablement efforts

  • Work closely with Product and Operations to ensure delivery excellence

  • Collaborate with Finance on revenue planning and compensation strategy

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience

  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling a B2B sales organization

  • Experience building structured sales processes and forecasting discipline

  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence at the C-level

  • Track record of recruiting and developing high-performing teams

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
