Director of Sales
Position Overview
M & M Plastic Injection Molding is expanding its sales presence into the Midwest and West Coast markets and is seeking an experienced Direct Sales Representative to lead that growth. This is a remote, field-based role — you will work from your home territory, traveling to prospects and customers across your region while being backed by our world-class manufacturing operation in Miami, FL.
Your primary selling tool is M & M's injection molding capability itself — one of the most comprehensive in the country. With 55+ machines ranging from 110 to 2,200 tons, on-site tooling and mold manufacturing, full-time product and mold design engineers, and 24/7 production across 1.5 million square feet, you will bring manufacturing muscle that few competitors can match. The right candidate knows how to translate that capability into compelling value for engineers, procurement teams, and operations leaders in the window & door, automotive, and related manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts across the Midwest and/or West Coast territory, with a focus on window & door manufacturers, automotive OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and general industrial manufacturers
• Lead capability-based sales conversations — educating prospects on M & M's machine range, tooling, engineering support, resin options, and secondary services as a competitive differentiator
• Conduct on-site discovery visits to understand customer part requirements, volumes, tolerances, and material needs; translate findings into detailed RFQ submissions to the M & M engineering team
• Work closely with M & M's in-house engineers and production team on DFM (design for manufacturability) reviews, quote development, and sample approvals
• Manage accounts through the full sales cycle: initial outreach, technical discovery, quoting, sample/approval stages, and production launch
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline in CRM software; deliver accurate weekly and monthly forecasts to management
• Represent M & M at regional trade shows, industry associations, and manufacturing events
• Build long-term, consultative relationships — positioning M & M as a strategic manufacturing partner, not a transactional vendor
• Provide field intelligence on competitor capabilities, customer pain points, and market trends to support product and pricing strategy
• Consistently achieve or exceed assigned quarterly and annual revenue targets
