Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Dallas. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and innovation within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to enhance process performance, minimize waste, and standardize procedures across our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis and optimization of current printing processes to boost productivity and product quality, cutting down on waste, costs, and downtime.
  • Identify and implement best practices by recognizing similarities between products, processes, and equipment, ensuring a high level of standardization.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including customer relations, pre-press, scheduling, production, quality, and maintenance, to realize process enhancements.
  • Utilize ERP systems, shop floor data, and visual management tools to perform formal problem-solving techniques, addressing areas where KPIs fall short.
  • Document operating parameters and equipment settings to maintain consistency and repeatability in production.
  • Monitor printing process performance closely, troubleshooting and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, such as value stream mapping, standard operating procedures, and technical reports.
  • Stay informed of the latest advancements in printing technologies and materials to foster continuous improvement.
  • Report development outcomes, including sales and cost savings, to senior management.
  • Support the integration of viable label technologies aligning with strategic business goals.
  • Promote the sharing of best production practices across different sites.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer, specifically within the printing industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong familiarity with printing processes, technologies, and materials is preferred.
  • Experience with digital, offset, or flexographic printing is advantageous.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and producing quality work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and process engineering software, such as Visio.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Innovative thinker with a capacity for creative solutions.
