Technical Sales and Business DevelopmentGeneral Description:As the Technical Sales and Business Development representative, you will be primarily responsible for driving new business sales for the company. You will be expected to identify prospects, meet with prospects onsite at their locations, and generate opportunities to quote on that business. You will be expected to secure new business to exceed sales goals. Additionally, you will drive growth within current customer accounts. You will work in coordination with the company’s management team and customer service representatives utilizing the company provided customer relationship management tools to manage all sales related activities, including opportunities, customer visits, and estimates.MUST have experience selling flexible packaging products: ie: printed plastic and paper bags; printed roll stock; pouches. Having significant contacts/book of business within the Soil/Fertilizer, Pet Food, Fruit/Vegetable/Agricultural markets are a huge plus! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Requirements:Education and Experience:
· At least 5 years of printed flexible packaging sales experience consistently demonstrating a track record of new and existing customer sales growth.
· Valid driver’s license with an acceptably clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Demonstrated experience in selling techniques including securing face to face meetings with decision makers, debunking common sales objections, and closing deals.
· Proven ability to close sales and drive territory sales growth.
· Capable of building strong relationships with prospects and customers.
· Understanding of the sales landscape in the assigned area.
· Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects.
· Proactive, problem solver, and accountable to customers and company management.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
· Capable and comfortable working from a home office.
Work Environment:
· Will work from his/her home, and travel regularly throughout their assigned territory. Travel is estimated to be up to 50% annually.
· Salary plus uncapped incentives; Car allowance; Laptop; Home Office/Phone/Travel expenses paid.
