💥 ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Power Systems Operator / SCADA Specialist to support critical operations in a floater capacity across Abilene and Childress, TX.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for real-time system monitoring, alarm management, and executing switching orders in coordination with field crews and operations leadership.

You’ll work independently, stay calm under pressure, and make sound decisions in live operating environments.

⚙️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Monitor and manage SCADA systems for power system operations

• Respond to, prioritize, and manage system alarms

• Write, review, and execute switching orders safely and accurately

• Coordinate with field personnel during switching and maintenance activities

• Maintain situational awareness of system conditions at all times

• Follow operating procedures, safety rules, and reliability standards

• Document operations, events, and system changes clearly and accurately

• Serve as operational support across multiple sites in a floater role

🎯 WHAT YOU BRING

• Strong experience with SCADA systems in power or utility environments

• Proven ability to manage alarms and respond appropriately in real time

• Proficiency in writing and executing switching orders

• Solid understanding of power system operations and safety protocols

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Calm, detail-oriented approach in high-responsibility situations

• Willingness to float between Abilene and Childress as needed
