This is not a traditional accounting role where you simply report the numbers.

You will serve as the financial leader and strategic business partner for a major global energy OEM’s Transformer Service, Field Service, Spare Parts, and warehouse operations.

You will work directly with operational leadership to improve profitability, control costs, strengthen cash flow, support major investments, and help guide the continued growth of the Transformer Service organization.

🔥 ABOUT THE ROLE

The Service Operations Finance Manager will lead the financial operations supporting a transformer service and warehouse facility.

This person will own the accuracy and integrity of the site’s financial reporting while also acting as a hands-on commercial partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Field Service, Spare Parts, and senior leadership.

The right candidate will be comfortable moving between accounting leadership, operational finance, SAP process improvement, forecasting, cost analysis, team development, and strategic decision support.

⚙️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Lead site-level accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial controls

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal policies, and reporting standards

• Partner with Field Service, Spare Parts, warehouse, and operations leaders to improve profitability and productivity

• Develop budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and performance reports

• Analyze costs, margins, operational variances, risks, and improvement opportunities

• Translate financial results into clear recommendations for operational leadership

• Support capital investments, facility ramp-up activities, and productivity initiatives

• Develop business cases and track the financial return of major investments

• Improve cash conversion, working capital, invoicing, collections, and financial discipline

• Optimize SAP and related financial systems, reporting processes, and internal workflows

• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to align financial plans with business objectives

• Lead, mentor, and develop the site finance and order-management team

🎯 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

• Ten or more years of progressive finance or accounting experience

• Previous finance leadership or team-management responsibility

• Strong hands-on experience using SAP within finance, accounting, controlling, or operations

• Experience with financial management, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Experience supporting manufacturing, field service, industrial service, warehouse, or plant operations preferred

• Ability to turn financial data into actionable operational recommendations

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence operational and senior leaders

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or similar advanced qualification is beneficial but not required
