🚀 WHY THIS ROLE IS A GAME-CHANGER

A lot of diesel technician jobs lead to one thing:

More diesel technician work.

This opportunity can lead to a whole lot more.

We are looking for strong Level II and Level III Diesel Technicians who know how to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and keep equipment moving.

But the bigger story is what may come next.

This company has multiple career avenues for people who prove themselves, build their skills, and want more responsibility.

You could continue growing technically.

You could move toward management.

You could potentially move into transportation brokerage.

You could pursue a CDL driving path.

You could potentially work toward becoming an owner-operator.

And for the right person, there may even be an opportunity to transition into another highly technical field such as transformer service or other electrical equipment service work.

You may come in as a diesel technician. You do not necessarily have to retire as one.

That is what makes this opportunity different.

🔥 THE OPPORTUNITY

Top Job Finders is conducting an exclusive search for experienced Level II and Level III Diesel Technicians / Mechanics in the Ellisville / Hattiesburg, Mississippi area.

We want technicians who can do more than follow a checklist.

We are looking for people who can think.

People who can troubleshoot.

People who understand how diesel systems work and can determine why something failed—not just which part needs to be replaced.

Level II candidates should bring solid hands-on diesel repair and diagnostic capability.

Level III candidates should be comfortable taking on more difficult troubleshooting, advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and providing technical guidance to less-experienced technicians.

⚙️ WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related vehicle and equipment systems.

• Troubleshoot fuel systems, emissions systems, electronic controls, and powertrain components.

• Use scan tools, oscilloscopes, flow meters, and other diagnostic equipment.

• Diagnose and repair issues involving injectors, turbochargers, fuel pumps, sensors, and related components.

• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, diagnostic information, and fault codes.

• Inspect equipment, identify root causes, and determine the most effective repair strategy.

• Level III technicians may mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.

🎯 WHO WE WANT TO TALK TO

You could be a strong fit if you are currently working as a:

• Diesel Technician

• Diesel Mechanic

• Fleet Technician

• Truck Mechanic

• Heavy-Duty Mechanic

• Diesel Service Technician

• Heavy Equipment Mechanic

• Senior or Lead Diesel Technician

We are especially interested in technicians who have real troubleshooting ability and can work through difficult mechanical and electronic problems.

Experience with diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions, electronic controls, powertrain components, schematics, and diagnostic equipment is important.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Diesel technology training and ASE certifications are preferred.

⚡ WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE A JOB YOU ALREADY HAVE?

That is the question we think every experienced technician should ask.

If your current company can give you the career you want, you probably should not leave just to change uniforms.

But if you are starting to wonder:

“What comes after being a technician?”

Then this opportunity becomes much more interesting.

This is not simply about finding your next shop.

It is about joining an organization where your experience could potentially open several different doors.

📈 MULTIPLE CAREER PATHS — NOT JUST ONE LADDER

Depending on your abilities, interests, performance, and opportunities within the company, your future could potentially include:

🔧 ADVANCED TECHNICAL CAREER

Become one of the people others rely on for difficult diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repair work.

👥 MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

For technicians who can lead people as well as fix equipment, there may be opportunities to move into supervisory, management, or broader operational responsibilities.

🚛 CDL / PROFESSIONAL DRIVING

Maybe you eventually decide you would rather operate the equipment than repair it. A path into professional driving may be an option.

📞 TRANSPORTATION BROKERAGE

If the business side of transportation interests you, there may be an opportunity to move toward brokerage and logistics.

🏆 OWNER-OPERATOR PATH

For someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, there may be an opportunity to work toward becoming an owner-operator and building something of your own within the transportation world.

⚡ TRANSFORMER & ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SERVICE

This may be one of the most interesting paths of all.

For the right mechanically inclined technician who wants to expand beyond diesel, there may be opportunities to develop into transformer service or other related electrical equipment service work.

That can create an entirely different technical career direction without forcing you to start over somewhere else.

⚡ WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

• Opportunity to join at Level II or Level III based on your experience.

• Work that actually uses your diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.

• Multiple possible career directions beyond the technician position.

• Potential management and leadership opportunities.

• Potential transportation, brokerage, CDL, and owner-operator paths.

• Potential exposure to entirely different technical industries such as transformer and electrical equipment service.

• Health insurance.

• Retirement plans.

• Paid time off.

This is the kind of opportunity that can make sense for someone who is not simply looking for another job.

It can make sense for someone looking for the next chapter of their career.
