Senior Analyst, Asset Management
The Senior Analyst will partner closely with investment, portfolio, research, capital markets, and asset management teams to monitor portfolio performance, support operating partners, conduct financial analysis, and contribute to reporting and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound business judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
This position offers broad exposure to asset management, portfolio strategy, operating partner oversight, acquisitions support, and capital markets activities within a dynamic real estate investment platform.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of approved asset-level business plans across a real estate investment portfolio.
- Monitor financial and operational performance of assigned assets, including monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, portfolio analytics, and management reporting.
- Assist with investment committee materials, quarterly asset reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes with operating partners and internal teams.
- Participate in operational reviews and performance meetings to evaluate asset performance, revenue trends, expense management, and capital initiatives.
- Collaborate with third-party operators and business partners to drive performance improvement initiatives and value creation.
- Support acquisitions, underwriting, and due diligence efforts through market research and financial analysis.
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive trends, demographic data, and operating benchmarks to inform investment decisions.
- Monitor capital improvement projects and other value-enhancement initiatives.
- Assist with financing, recapitalization, and disposition activities, including diligence coordination and analysis.
- Maintain accurate asset-level data and reporting records.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, reporting enhancements, and portfolio management best practices.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects in support of broader portfolio objectives.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in asset management, acquisitions, portfolio management, investment analysis, real estate private equity, REITs, investment banking, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Understanding of property-level financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and investment performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with PowerPoint and reporting tools preferred.
- Interest in real estate investing and operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear business insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
- High degree of professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
