Paralegal - Family Law 69861
Our client, a busy and well-established family law firm in Galveston County, is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their team. This is a high-impact role within a small firm environment where organization, accountability, and efficiency are critical to success.
The firm maintains a heavy caseload (approximately 150–170 active cases). While the attorney drafts the majority of pleadings and orders (approximately 85%), the paralegal plays a key role in keeping cases moving forward and ensuring all procedural and logistical aspects are handled with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume family law caseload with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including tracking and deadlines
- Maintain detailed calendaring and docket management
- Coordinate and schedule hearings, mediations, and trials
- Prepare and organize case files for hearings, mediations, and trial
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Ensure deadlines and case activity are consistently tracked and met

Qualifications
- Prior family law experience required, 5 or more years
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
