 Overview

A rapidly growing, privately held organization is seeking a motivated and experienced Controller to lead and oversee all financial operations. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, along with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

 

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and cost drivers to support business decisions
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Lead the month-end close process and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning
  • Develop and present budget-to-actual reporting with detailed variance analysis
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support tax-related activities
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and debt tracking
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial and regulatory requirements
  • Manage operational reporting and provide insights to leadership
  • Support additional financial projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage or similar preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications
