Northern New York – Scenic Practice Setting with Flexible Scheduling
A well-established, community-focused healthcare network in northern New York is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join its growing behavioral health team. This full-time opportunity offers a flexible outpatient-focused schedule with light consultative responsibilities and no after-hours call.
Position Highlights:

Schedule: Flexible, outpatient-based practice with the option to tailor hours

Patient Population: Individuals ages 5 through geriatric

Team Environment: Work alongside experienced psychologists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), therapists, nurses, and psychiatric nurse practitioners

Electronic Health Record: EPIC

Directorship Option: Medical Director role available for candidates interested in leadership. Duties include:

Oversight of a community-based detox clinic

Coordination with seasoned PMHNPs and NPs in outpatient mental health and substance use programs

Inpatient psychiatric consults (as needed) during weekday business hours

Managing coverage for multiple behavioral health sites (e.g., prescription refills, phone triage) during provider time off

Call Responsibilities:

Call Schedule: No after-hours call required

Consultation: Inpatient consults as needed during weekday hours only
Practice Locations:

Primary Site: Behavioral health clinic located in Gouverneur, NY

Additional Coverage: May occasionally support providers at other nearby facilities to accommodate PTO or vacation needs
Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $308,000 – $400,700 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Signing Bonus: $25,000

Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000

CME Allowance: $4,000 annually

Licensing & Dues: $2,000

Paid Time Off: 240 hours annually
