Currently looking for a Project Manager - Commercial Construction to fill a position due to business growth in the Fort Wayne, IN area for our Design-Build Construction Firm client. Interested candidates should have at least five years of commercial/industrial experience.
 
This role involves managing projects from concept to completion, balancing office and field responsibilities to ensure quality results and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and excels in collaboration and clear communication. A self-directed, goal-oriented mindset, integrity, and accountability are essential for success.
 
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
  • Serve as the main client contact, providing updates and resolving project issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain project momentum and foster accountability.
  • Build and manage detailed project schedules, tracking progress and communicating updates to all stakeholders.
  • Develop Schedule of Values for billing, monitor budgets, review financial documents, and report financial risks to the Senior PM.
  • Enforce daily safety procedures, lead safety meetings and inspections, and document site activities.
  • Conduct OAC meetings, maintain accurate records, and ensure work meets all quality standards, codes, and requirements.
  • Manage subcontracts from award through completion, tracking performance and resolving disputes with Senior PM support.
  • Support team development through delegation, training, feedback, and conflict resolution.
  • Champion company's vision, mission, and core values while driving and communicating organizational change.

Requirements of the Project Manager:
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management/Engineering 
  • 5+yrs experience working for a Commercial Design-Build Contractor
  • Experience with Experience with Adobe, Bluebeam, Procore & Timberline
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods)
  • Ability to implement and follow Company policies, procedures and standards is essential
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills required
