We are seeking a driven Manufacturing Engineer to partner cross-functionally to develop, maintain, and improve CNC programs, manufacturing processes, tooling, routings, and documentation. This highly visible role provides technical support across the organization and helps drive quality, efficiency, and cost improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain CNC programs across multiple controllers used in manufacturing, tooling and maintenance.
  • Daily support of manufacturing, improving practices and product through comprehensive understanding of all manufacturing processes and the ability to create best routing, using optimal tools in the most efficient machine time.
  • Thorough understanding of work holding to achieve best results (clamping, fixturing, orientation) required.
  • Create CAD models necessary for process drawings, machining layouts, fixtures, packaging and other manufacturing aides. Create and maintain machine layouts.
  • Technical support for internal customers, external customers, sales force and supply base.
  • Routing, tooling and capability issue resolution. Internal support to the quality department in drawing interpretation, measurement, fixtures and issue resolution.
  • Re-quote as needed to ensure gross margins are acceptable due to changes in material, subcontract processes and actual run times.
  • Operating system set up and control of item masters, BOMs, and routings.
  • Manage and document all changes in part design, manufacturing and processing. Maintain control through use of REC system.
  • Work with suppliers of materials, subcontract processes and tooling to procure the necessary items to produce competitive, quality products.
  • Work internally to train others in best practices, communicating effectively across all levels of the organization. Support the overall organization to improve issues that cause negative cost impact.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree Engineering or equivalent experience/aptitude required.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications necessary to produce ordered products.
  • Excellent math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills a must. Visual Basic programming a plus.
  • Understanding and use of SolidWorks, GD&T methodology, and Esprit.
  • Basic knowledge of SPC use and application as related to capability.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and accountable critical thinker with a willingness to learn new things.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 annually
  • Health Benefits after 30 days and 401k after 90 days of employment
