Our client, a leading management-side labor and employment AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Detroit office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong litigation experience who is interested in handling sophisticated employment matters in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Michigan, in good standing
- 3-5 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
- Significant experience in employment litigation, including matters in state and federal courts
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and as part of a team
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments

Experience gained at a large or well-regarded law firm preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution, including single-plaintiff and complex disputes
- Represent management in employment-related claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies
- Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and participate in depositions and hearings
- Advise clients on day-to-day employment issues and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop litigation strategy and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary Range: $200,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and education, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
