Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its established Housing Finance Practice Group. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate finance matters within a nationally-recognized practice that closes transactions across all 50 states.

 


 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 2–5 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate finance
  • Experience representing lenders or borrowers in commercial real estate finance transactions
  • Familiarity with multifamily housing finance programs, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or FHA multifamily, is a plus
  • Strong background in reviewing title insurance, surveys, and related due diligence materials
  • Exceptional drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to superior client service, with interest in direct client contact and business development opportunities
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Housing & Real Estate Finance team in originating, structuring, and closing complex commercial real estate finance transactions
  • Review and negotiate loan documents, closing deliverables, title insurance policies, surveys, and due diligence materials
  • Work closely with multifamily lenders and engage with national lending programs where applicable
  • Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct legal research and prepare client-ready memoranda and transaction summaries
  • Participate in client meetings, industry events, and business development initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $205,000 – $275,000, commensurate with experience and market conditions
