Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Safety Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety protocols across construction sites to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety. Your expertise will help mitigate risks, protect workers’ health, and uphold the highest standards of occupational safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of risk management, occupational health, OSHA regulations, and construction management practices, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive safety assessments on construction sites to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans
• Be present and onsite the majority of the time at work sites
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance management standards.
• Provide safety training sessions for workers and management on topics such as hazard recognition, proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency procedures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses thoroughly; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction management software teams, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) personnel to promote a culture of safety.
• Keep abreast of changes in OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and industry best practices to continuously improve safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to safety inspections, training records, incident reports, and compliance audits.
• Assist in the development of risk management strategies tailored to specific project requirements.
• Support the implementation of compliance management initiatives across multiple construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and occupational health principles.
• Must be able to pass drug screen, background check, and have a good license
• Familiarity with workers' compensation policies and procedures related to workplace injuries.
• Experience with construction management software and safety compliance tracking tools.
• Solid background in risk management techniques within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, 500-Hour Trainer Certification
• Strong understanding of construction management practices combined with a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
