We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Residential Electrician to oversee and execute electrical projects within residential settings. This role involves supervising installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, and high-voltage wiring, demonstrating leadership on construction sites and renovation projects. As a key team member, you will ensure that all electrical work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, supporting our mission to deliver reliable electrical solutions to homeowners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate residential electrical projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians and junior staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Install, maintain, and repair various electrical systems including low voltage systems, high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical components, and commercial electrical setups.
- Conduct thorough electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex issues within residential electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures.
- Manage the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components in relevant projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment effectively to perform precise electrical work.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all installations, repairs, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to deliver quality results on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency in installing low voltage systems, high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical components, and automation controls like PLCs.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, pliers) and power tools for precise installation work.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects preferred.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining safety standards across all operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient troubleshooting of complex electrical issues.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations; additional certifications related to industrial or commercial wiring are advantageous.
