§ Duties: The incoming Litigation Associate will serve as an integral advocate within the firm’s robust commercial disputes group, navigating sophisticated legal challenges from inception through resolution. This role requires tactical acumen and a commanding presence in both written advocacy and courtroom proceedings.
Core responsibilities include:
⨖ Architecting comprehensive litigation strategies and managing complex business disputes across New Jersey state and federal courts.
⨖ Drafting, reviewing, and arguing dispositive motions, pleadings, and complex appellate briefs.
⨖ Spearheading all phases of the discovery process, including e-discovery management, taking and defending critical depositions, and working alongside expert witnesses.
⨖ Representing high-profile corporate clients in diverse matters, encompassing breach of contract, fiduciary duty claims, business torts, and regulatory compliance disputes.
⨖ Collaborating with senior partners to prepare for trials, arbitrations, and high-stakes mediations, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes for clients.
§ Qualifications:
Candidates must present a proven track record of litigation excellence and possess the requisite procedural knowledge to immediately impact complex case teams.
⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record.
⨖ Active Bar Membership and in good standing in the state of New Jersey.
⨖ Two (2) to Four (4) Years of substantive, direct experience managing complex commercial litigation matters at a reputable law firm.
⨖ Superior analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill complex legal principles into persuasive arguments.
⨖ Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with trial teams and clear, authoritative communication with clients.
§ Skills:
The following qualifications are highly desirable and would substantially elevate an applicant's candidacy for this competitive role:
⨖ Prior experience serving as a Judicial Clerk in a state or federal court.
⨖ Dual bar admissions, specifically including active licensure in New York and/or Pennsylvania.
⨖ Established proficiency with advanced litigation support software and e-discovery platforms.
