Are you a night owl with a knack for assembling intricate components? Our client has an exciting opportunity for you to join their team as a Mechanical Assembler on the 2nd Shift! Roll up your sleeves and dive into a dynamic work environment where your skills will directly contribute to innovative solutions in the food processing industry.
This opportunity features a 4-day work week (4 x10 from 3:30pm - 1:30am, Mon - Thu).
What You'll Do:
- Utilize your expertise to assemble mechanical and electrical parts, pieces, or products using various tools and equipment based on detailed specifications or provided schematics.
- Prepare for assembly by reviewing instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Accurately position parts and subassemblies using templates or precise measurements.
- Ensure correct fit by examining connections and fastening parts and subassemblies securely.
- Measure completed components to verify they meet specifications.
- Tackle assembly challenges by adjusting dimensions as needed and collaborating with your supervisor for additional resources.
- Maintain a safe and tidy workspace by adhering to all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Optimize resource usage to achieve job results efficiently.
- Record your actions by completing production and quality forms accurately.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and frequently lift overhead up to 30 lbs.
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
- Electromechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical assembly experience are a big plus!
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
