What You'll Be Doing:

• Follow operation procedures to cut parts accurately as per work instructions and drawings.
• Ensure you clock into the correct job while operating.
• Inspect parts meticulously to match the prints.
• Keep detailed records of production quantities and materials used.
• Maintain the machine’s top-notch condition by adhering to a preventive maintenance schedule, including cleaning lenses and mirrors.
• Work with provided programs and consult with the Machine Shop Supervisor before any alterations.
• Organize staging areas for upcoming jobs and prioritize material setup.
• Handle multiple machines when possible, optimizing cycle times and conditions.
• Keep your work area clean and safe at all times.
• Help out with machine shop tasks whenever you’re caught up.
• Assist with machine maintenance when needed.
• Take on any other duties management might assign.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and material types, especially stainless steel.
• Attention to all safety precautions while operating machinery.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs and overhead lifting up to 30 lbs frequently.
• Continuous pushing and pulling activities.
