We are seeking a strategic, client-focused, and technically adept Director of Revenue Operations and Technology to lead the design, implementation, and long-term management of a next-generation revenue accounting system. This leader will play a pivotal role in transforming the quote-to-cash (QTC) ecosystem, encompassing CRM, CPQ, CLM, billing, and revenue recognition systems.
As the primary representative for Revenue Accounting, the Director will co-lead this transformation with IT and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring a seamless, integrated solution that balances scalability, customer experience, and accounting integrity. Key Responsibilities
System Implementation & Design
- Lead end-to-end replacement of the revenue accounting system, defining requirements and workflows that optimize accuracy, automation, and customer experience.
- Co-lead program delivery with IT, ensuring alignment and accountability across functional and technical workstreams.
- Partner with IT, Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Commercial Operations, and external vendors to design scalable, compliant solutions.
- Oversee data migration, testing, and user acceptance to ensure integrity and readiness for go-live.
- Manage system integrators and vendors, driving quality design, documentation, and control adherence.
Quote-to-Cash & Systems Integration
- Represent Revenue Accounting in QTC process design, ensuring alignment with compliance, scalability, and customer experience.
- Collaborate across CRM, CPQ, CLM, billing, and revenue recognition workstreams for unified, efficient processes.
- Identify and implement automation and process improvements to enhance visibility and operational efficiency.
Ongoing Ownership & Optimization
- Own post-implementation operations, including system close execution, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Govern change control and maintain SOX compliance in partnership with IT.
- Monitor performance metrics and champion continuous improvement for accuracy and scalability.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as trusted advisor for Revenue Accounting in system and process transformation.
- Mentor matrixed and junior team members to strengthen technical and functional capabilities.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure transparency and timely issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with executives, translating technical details into business implications.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting systems, revenue operations, or ERP/revenue automation.
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue models (hardware, software, services).
- Proven success leading large-scale system implementations and cross-functional transformations.
- Strong client-centric mindset and ability to design processes balancing customer experience and operational needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with ability to lead through influence in matrixed environments.
Preferred
- CPA or Chartered Accountant designation.
- Big 4 experience and/or multinational public company exposure with complex revenue arrangements.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, billing, and revenue automation tools (SAP BRIM, Zuora, NetSuite ARM, Oracle RM).
- Experience integrating CRM, CPQ, CLM, and billing systems in SaaS or technology environments.
