Acute Care Telemedicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Compensation: $80.00 - $85.00 per Hour

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Language Requirement: Bilingual Fluent (English/Spanish)

Location: Los Angeles area, California

We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare organization dedicated to providing critically needed primary care to underserved and uninsured populations throughout the Los Angeles area. We are currently seeking a full-time, Board Certified Acute Care Telemedicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their clinical team on-site. Designed for a culturally competent, fluent Spanish-speaking provider, this position focuses on delivering vital acute care services via a modern, on-site digital platform within an environment that truly moves the needle on community health.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality acute care clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a diverse patient population utilizing an on-site telemedicine delivery model.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive healthcare services entirely in both English and Spanish, conducting full independent medical assessments and clinical communication without the assistance of an interpreter.
  • Manage a high-volume, efficient digital patient workflow, averaging approximately 35 to 40 patient encounters per day.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized acute care treatment plans, coordinate prescriptions, and ensure meticulous continuity of patient care.
  • Evaluate urgent or episodic complaints, stabilizer clinical presentations, and facilitate seamless external referrals to higher levels of care or specialized clinics when clinically indicated.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) for all digital visits, lab orders, and diagnostic follow-ups.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science (M.S.) Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a strong clinical focus in acute care, family medicine, or urgent care.
  • Active, unrestricted California state licensure as an NP or PA in good standing.
  • National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
  • Linguistic Skill: Complete bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strictly required; providers must be fully capable of conducting end-to-end clinical visits and assessments without an interpreter.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of dedicated, post-graduate professional work experience as a certified NP or PA is required. (Please note: clinical rotations completed during training do not qualify toward this required experience threshold).
  • Valid DEA registration and up-to-date BLS/CPR certification.

Benefits:

  • Eligibility for competitive federal and state loan repayment programs.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans covering preventative and specialized care.
  • Robust retirement planning options featuring an excellent employer matching contribution.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) allocation to support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Paid Continuing Medical Education (CME) days along with an annual financial stipend.
  • Fully paid medical malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Excellent long-term professional growth opportunities within a stable, mission-focused organization.

Note on Compensation: The listed compensation range is not a guarantee. The final determined amount will be based on candidate qualifications, clinical experience, board certifications, and overall alignment with the department's productivity models. Contact us for more details.
