Location
Hybrid role based in Brownwood, TX, with an expectation of being in the office approximately three days per week to help manage and support the local office.
Note
This role requires an active CPA license, prior public accounting experience, and experience managing or mentoring a team. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Job Description
- Lead and manage tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services aligned with client goals
- Manage, mentor, and develop staff accountants and senior associates
- Help oversee and support operations within the Brownwood office
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client strategy, process improvements, and growth initiatives
- Stay current on tax law changes and translate them into actionable guidance for clients
- Support business development efforts through client relationships and proposals
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Prior experience managing, mentoring, or leading a team
- Strong technical tax knowledge and client-facing communication skills
- Experience with common tax software and QuickBooks Online
