We are excited to offer a fantastic part-time opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Worcester. If you're passionate about numbers, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you. This position is a temporary assignment that will last approximately 10-12 weeks.
What You'll Do:
- Review invoices against purchase orders and shipping receipts to ensure accuracy before processing payments.
- Enter invoices into QuickBooks and assist with journal entries.
- Collaborate closely with the Accountant and support the Director of Sales & Operations as needed.
- Manage vendor communications to resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Keep meticulous records of vehicle repairs, service data, and chemical pricing updates.
- Assist in ordering office supplies and negotiating for the best prices.
- Handle company check deposits and perform general office duties like filing and copying.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer service situations with ease.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and maintaining quality control over your work.
- Adaptability and dependability in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and a basic understanding of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting or related field, OR a High School diploma with at least six months of relevant experience.
- Good analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Work Environment:
This position requires sitting for extended periods, frequent use of computers, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. A willingness to adapt and contribute in a team setting is essential.
