Location: Ayer, MA (Hybrid or Fully Remote Options Available)

Our client is a well-established and growing insurance agency seeking a motivated, upbeat, and service-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing and growing a commercial book of business while delivering exceptional client service. Candidates do not need to be local to Ayer, MA, as fully remote options are available.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Manage and service an existing Commercial Lines book of business, including renewals, remarketing when necessary, account reviews, and daily client service needs

  • Work collaboratively with producers and internal staff to achieve agency production and growth goals

  • Proactively communicate with clients to understand their business needs, educate them on coverage options, and strengthen long-term relationships

  • Prepare, complete, and submit commercial insurance applications within 24–48 hours (or same day when possible) upon receipt of underwriting information

  • Utilize carrier portals and rating platforms including (but not limited to) Commerce, Main Street America, Merchants, Andover, Preferred Mutual, CNA, and Travelers

  • Process endorsements accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all are submitted by the end of each week

  • Handle Registry-related transactions for commercial accounts as needed

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and lead management within the agency’s sales pipeline system

  • Contact assigned leads promptly, ideally the same business day, to ensure strong follow-through and client experience

  • Cross-sell additional insurance and financial service offerings where appropriate

  • Actively contribute to departmental goals, including targeted growth of the Commercial Lines book (approximately 10%)

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Prior experience in Commercial Lines insurance account management or servicing

  • Strong working knowledge of Property & Casualty commercial insurance products, coverages, and markets

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach

  • Proficiency with agency management systems and insurance carrier portals

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment

  • Massachusetts P&C license preferred (or ability to obtain)
