Part-Time Production Baker / Food Production Associate

We are a growing artisanal food company specializing in small-batch granola and granola bars. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Production Baker / Food Production Associate to join our team in Shirley, MA.

This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial kitchen, bakery, food preparation, or food production experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment where everyone works together and takes pride in creating a high-quality product.

The Schedule

This is a part-time, Monday through Friday position averaging approximately 20–25 hours per week. Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., although hours may fluctuate based on production needs.

What You'll Do

As part of our production team, you will help prepare, bake, and package our small-batch granola products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Measuring, preparing, and hand-mixing ingredients

  • Baking granola and safely loading and removing trays and racks from ovens

  • Operating packaging equipment and preparing finished products for shipment

  • Making and labeling bags and boxes using tape dispensers, date stamps, and labels

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and production area

  • Sweeping, mopping, wiping down work surfaces, and assisting with general kitchen clean-up

  • Rotating and organizing ingredients and supplies

  • Completing basic food safety tasks, including recording refrigerator temperatures

  • Working closely and cooperatively with other members of the baking team

  • Following recipes, production procedures, and direction from the Kitchen Manager

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and comfortable in an active production environment. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, food preparation, or food production environment

  • Be comfortable following written recipes and verbal instructions

  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Communicate well and work effectively as part of a small team

  • Be able to work independently when needed

  • Take pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace

  • Have a strong work ethic and dependable attendance

  • Have a ServSafe Certification or be willing to obtain one

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Team members must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds

  • Stand for extended periods

  • Perform repetitive hand-mixing and food preparation tasks

  • Bend, lift, reach, pull, and push throughout the workday

  • Work in a warm kitchen and production environment, particularly during the summer months

  • Safely work in an environment where nuts, including almonds, cashews, and pecans, are regularly handled

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18.00-19.00 per hour

  • Paid time off
