EHS Specialist (plant level)

Responsible for supporting the Campus EHS Manager in managing the EHS function (80% safety & health/20% environmental) for (4) local heavy industrial plants totaling (1200) employees in Johnson City, Tennessee.   

Manage EHSS activities through an ISO based platform.  This role will continue strengthening their safety culture journey and enhancing programs such as ergonomics, machine guarding, etc.  Roll out corporate programs/systems and work closely with plant leadership and the corporate EHS team.  Maintain EHSS metrics, recordkeeping and communications. Environmental scope will involve compliance in all areas of air, water and waste management.
