Sales Manager
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing a team of Business Development Managers to be
successful in negotiating and closing business deals. They must have the ability to recruit, hire,
onboard and mentor a sales team to achieve company sales goals and objectives while meeting
company core values. They must display a high level of professionalism and knowledge of
customary industry service and the PEO business model.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
§ Recruit, hire, and train sales team
§ Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
§ Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and
implement them
§ Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members
§ Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program
accordingly
§ Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure
that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are
met
§ Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and
individual recognition
§ Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new
deals
§ Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas.
§ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
§ Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our
company's relationship with them
§ Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for the
defined geography and accounts
§ Complete and submit accurate sales reports by agreed upon dates.
§ Represent our company to clients and the community in a positive manner. § Continually develop technical, competitive, business and human resources knowledge. § Meet or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas. § Other projects added at leadership’s discretion.

WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
§ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
§ 5 years of experience in sales
§ Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
§ Excellent leadership skills to successfully manage and develop a team
§ Experience setting sales goals
§ Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
§ Strong understanding of CRM systems and best practices
§ Experience with generating own leads and prospecting for business
§ Basic understanding of human resources
§ Exceptional sales skills
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
§ Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
§ Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

§ Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license
§ Able to travel during the day to different client and partner locations
