Ortho Spine Surgeon – Metro Detroit

Location: Metro Detroit, MI 

Position Type: Full-Time | Orthopedic Spine Surgery

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join a reputable, patient‑centered orthopedic group in the Metro Detroit area. This role is ideal for a surgeon who values clinical excellence, teamwork, and long‑term reputation over transactional practice models. You will work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, and a strong clinical support team committed to delivering exceptional spine care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spine Surgical Procedures — Perform a full spectrum of orthopedic spine surgeries with a proven track record supported by surgical logs.

  • Call Coverage — Participate in a shared call rotation (approx. 8–10 shifts per month).

  • Collaborative Care — Work closely with orthopedic partners, RNs, PAs, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality patient care.

  • Clinical Leadership — Partner with practice leadership to support departmental goals, quality initiatives, and potential research interests.

  • Professional Standards — Maintain the highest levels of integrity, communication, and patient‑centered decision‑making.

 

Practice & Compensation Model

  • Production‑based RVU model with competitive earning potential.

  • Strong support for surgical volume across Metro Detroit, including access to multiple OR locations.

  • Malpractice coverage provided by the organization.

  • Compensation aligned with experience, productivity, and case complexity.

Qualifications

  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Spine Surgery.

  • Demonstrated surgical experience with logs available for review.

  • Strong professional reputation with verifiable references.

  • Team‑oriented, humble, and mission‑driven approach to patient care.

  • Commitment to high‑quality outcomes, collaboration, and long‑term practice growth.
