THE ROLE
This Senior Oracle Cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) DevOps and Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our client's Oracle Cloud infrastructure and applications.
This role involves working closely with development teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, automating workflows, and ensuring high availability, security of our cloud-based applications, scalability, and performance of our Oracle Cloud environments.

LOCATION - This role is 100% remote. Company is located in the SF Bay area, California. Most work will be done during PST business hours.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Design, set up, and manage Oracle Cloud environments, focusing on SaaS and PaaS offerings, to support enterprise-level applications.
- Implement and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines for Oracle Cloud applications.
- Automate processes and workflows to minimize manual interventions and ensure efficient deployment and management of Oracle Cloud resources.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle Cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve any infrastructure-related issues in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Oracle Cloud architecture, configurations, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle Cloud features and technologies and recommend Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect the Oracle Cloud environment from potential threats.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Participate in planning and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Oracle Cloud applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Oracle Cloud environments, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, or a similar role, with a proven track record in Oracle Cloud PaaS and SaaS environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including experience with Oracle EBS and SaaS applications (e.g., ERP, SCM, EPM, WMS).
- Ability to work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure APIs to view, manage, monitor and alert service degradations.
- Hands-on experience building, configuring, and supporting Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, including adapters, REST/SOAP services, and integrations between Oracle SaaS, OCI, and third-party systems.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience managing and/or administering Oracle Databases.
- Ability to configure, manage, resolve performance issues and implement data backup strategies for Oracle Autonomous Databases.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud security framework including SSO, user authentication, etc. preferred
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Oracle Visual Builder Studio ) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Cloud, DevOps, or cloud computing are a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Open to considering full-time, direct employment after 6+ months.
- Must be comfortable working PST hours (to 6pm PST) and currently located within the USA
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
