Senior JD Edwards Business Systems Analyst | Manufacturing & Distribution | Lead ERP Transformation

IMPACT: Our client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst – JD Edwards ERP to support and enhance its JD Edwards ERP environment with a primary focus on manufacturing and distribution. This individual will partner with business and IT stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, develop functional specifications, and deliver ERP enhancements that improve operational efficiency, system utilization, and overall business performance.

LOCATION: Detroit Metro Tech Corridor (approx. 1 hour NW of Detroit) – The area offers professionals a significantly lower cost of living than surrounding suburbs. Residents have access to nearby parks, lakes, and recreation throughout the region, along with museums, sports, and cultural activities within a short drive. It’s a practical option for families who want space, value, and suburban access without being far from major employment centers.

DAY-to-DAY:

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, prioritize, and validate business requirements for system enhancements and new functionality.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing, distribution, inventory management, production planning, quality, and supply chain business processes.
• Develop functional specifications, process maps, test plans, acceptance criteria, and support user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with ERP development teams to design and implement JD Edwards solutions that align with business objectives.
• Lead and coordinate ERP-related projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
• Provide end-user training, support, and guidance to drive adoption of new functionality and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automate workflows, and increase system efficiency.
• Maintain system documentation, business process documentation, and user guides.
• Evaluate new JD Edwards releases and functionality and recommend enhancements based on business needs and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with change management, service request, and system governance processes.
• Serve as the liaison between IT, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other business stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as an ERP Business Systems Analyst supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Strong functional knowledge of JD Edwards manufacturing and/or distribution modules.
• Experience with JD Edwards configuration, integrations, and ERP implementation or enhancement projects.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and deliver effective solutions.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25-50% as needed.
• Local or willing to relocate with company assistance.
